I am very happy to announce that we have reached our fundraising goal and no longer need any contributions! Thank you everyone!

Press Release:

Wolcott, CT – Endorsed Republican candidate for State Representative in the 80th District, Rob Sampson has announced that his campaign has reached its fundraising goal and has qualified for the Citizens’ Elections Program. The 80th District consists of Wolcott and the west end of Southington including parts Plantsville, Milldale & Marion. Sampson is a Realtor and insurance agent.

I want to offer my most sincere thanks to the many supporters who helped us reach this goal. I have been overwhelmed by the positive response our campaign and more importantly, our message, has received.  It’s been difficult serving in the minority, especially watching the poor decisions being made that have hurt our state’s economy and attractiveness as a place to live.   I am up for the challenge though and will continue to call for a more prudent tact as we go forward.  We need to get back to core american principles of hard work, mutual respect, and common sense.

Sampson received the endorsement of the Republican Party for his re-election bid to maintain his seat in the General Assembly this May. He was nominated unanimously at the convention and continues to receive the full support of both town committees in his district.

Sampson has been running a dynamic campaign attending many local events and organizing several “meet the candidate” forums & fundraisers. He is also dedicated to meeting as many voters as possible personally during his campaign. Known as an avid reader and student of American history, Sampson often applies the lessons learned from our own past to events we are currently facing.

Sampson is a lifelong Republican who believes in limited government, personal responsibility and fiscal accountability. He is also a strong supporter of our Second Amendment Rights.

Sampson has had his campaign website up publicly since May. Visit www.sampsonforct.com for key speeches, voting records and detailed positions on many issues as well as photos and video of Sampson serving in the legislature and on the campaign trail.
