Southington, CT – Senator Rob Sampson (R) has announced that his campaign has reached its fundraising goal and has reached the threshold for qualifying for the Citizens’ Elections Program. The 16th District includes Southington, Wolcott, Prospect and parts of Cheshire and Waterbury.
“I want to offer my most sincere thanks to the many supporters who helped us reach this goal. I have been overwhelmed by the positive response our campaign and more importantly, our message, has received. It’s been difficult serving in the minority, especially watching the poor decisions being made that have hurt our state’s economy and attractiveness as a place to live. I am up for the challenge and will continue to call for a more prudent tact as we go forward. We need to get back to core American principles of hard work, mutual respect, and common sense.
Sampson is known as an avid reader and student of American history. He suggests applying the lessons learned from our own past to events we are currently facing.
Sampson is a lifelong Republican who believes in limited government, personal responsibility and fiscal accountability. He is also a strong supporter of our Second Amendment Rights.
